Let’s get together on Maui to see old friends, make new friends, support Maui wildfire affected families, and have fun on the water.  The event will include lunch, awards, raffle prizes and live music at Kanahā Beach Park.    

This fundraising race, hosted by Maui Paddling Hui, Lae 'ula o Kai, Nā Kai 'Ewalu, will donate a 100% of proceeds to Maui Wildfire affected paddling 'ohana families.

RACE COURSE + CATEGORIES:

  • Wednesday, October 18, 2023 - registration closes (Wednesday, 11:59pm)

  • Friday, October 20, 2023 - registration and jersey pick-up at Hawaiian Canoe Club.

  • Saturday, October 21, 2023 - 11am - first start.  Staggered starts announced race day.

RACE FEE(s):

  • $5/person + DONATION

  • Free for fire affected paddlers

  • Pre-purchase a fundraising race jersey for $30, pick up at registration or race day.  All pre-orders due Friday, October 6th, 2023.

REGISTRATION:

  • Online Registration HERE

  • Registration open to OC6, OC1, OC2 + Surfski​

  • Outrigger 6-man crews require experienced crews with experience open ocean steersperson.  Unqualified crews/steerspersons will be denied registration - sorry.

SAFETY RULES:

  • Bright jerseys required to race - we encourage HOT PINK in honor of the race.

  • Outrigger 6-man crews require experienced crews with experience open ocean steersperson.  Unqualified crews/steerspersons will be denied registration - sorry.

  • All OC1, OC2 + surfski are required to wear a leash and wear an inflatable waist pack or full size USCG approved Type I, II, III, or V Personal Floatation Device (PFD) the entire time they are paddling during EVERY MPH RACE.  ISO 12402-5 rating also acceptable.
