Aloha, my name is Cord Muñoz. My shop, AHOY Fiberglass and Board Repair, burnt down during the Lahaina Wildfires. We have helped many surfers and paddlers, who live and visit here, by repairing their vessels and boards over the last three years the shop has been mine. Many of my clients and friends, near and far, are asking how they can help rebuild my small business so I can continue serving the community of West Maui, so I’ve decided to start this fundraiser page.
Any donations are more than welcome but I promise if you donate any amount, you will given that full amount in credit for any repair services, once we are rebuilt and open/operating. Any donations will go directly to renting and building out a new location, buying tools, and starting materials.
Many of the tools, items, and surfboards that were in my shop were custom made or vintage, or simply aren’t made anymore. If you donate, just know that you are helping create a new legacy for a business that will serve the community for a long time to come. Things may never be the same in our town, but one day it’ll be back and better than ever with your help. Mahalo nui loa for your time and consideration. There are many people who need help right now.
