We are a family of 2 adults and 2 keiki. Paddling has brought our family closer in so many ways! From sending dad (Saimone) off for the race and being there when he crossed the finish line. Most of the time the kids are screaming “Go Daddy Go” as he crosses. Our life revolves around paddling these days. Our closet friends are now our ohana, all we met through paddling.

Hi. My husband and I met paddling. I have been a member of the Kahana CC and Napili Canoe Clubs for about 23 years. I paddled about 5 full one- man seasons, excluding the molo solo. We are a family of 4. Recently lost our home in Wahikuli. Lahaina has been my home for 25 years. We are most appreciative of all of the love and support for our friends, family and community. Thank you so much❤️Aloha

I have been a part of the paddling community since I was 9 years old, specifically stand up paddling, and competed around the country and also competed in the channel crossings over these years. Last month I was gifted a brand new Ares from a family friend to get me connected to the water again and only got to use my boat a handful of times before the fires.

I’ve been paddling since 2006 and have loved every minute of it. The only seasons that I missed were when I was pregnant with my girls: Josie(7) and Poppy (3), who are now often with me at all the races. I spent a decade on the board of Kahana Canoe Club volunteering time to help others paddle.

My name is Robin Stevenson. I am a mother of two, married to Tyler Stevenson who works for the state of Hawaii as a public defender. Our home was lost in the Maui wildfire along with all of our belongings. I paddle for Napili Canoe Club and have been in the paddling community for a couple years. Our family thanks you for the love and support.

Hi, my name is Jenelle and I'm setting up this GoFundMe for my good friend Emily Cohen. Emily lost her home in the Lahaina fire as well as one of the locations where she worked as a massage therapist (at the Shops at 505, if you're familiar with Lahaina). Emily was the first friend I made on Maui; she was my neighbor in Kahana and invited me to join her at the beach. We became quick friends and even when I moved off island temporarily we kept in touch. Emily has been on Maui for nearly 20 years now, this is her home, and she worked hard to purchase her first condo less than a year ago. I ask that you consider helping Emily on her road to rebuilding her home and healing.

Aloha - I'm starting this page on behalf of Isaac Bancaco who has been working tirelessly to support other Lahaina wildfire victims since the moment he lost his home and his business (Pacific'o on the Beach). Thankfully his boat, truck and OC1 were safe, but everything else including his place of business is completely gone.
Isaac has been selflessly dedicating his time and fundraising efforts to @chefhui through fundraising and daily trips into Lahaina to ensure survivors receive warm, fresh meals daily in collaboration with World Centric Kitchen.
If you were lucky enough to have dined at Pacifi'o on the Beach, you probably know that the magic behind the meal and experience was Chef Isaac. He and his team provided so many wonderful culinarty experiences and now it's time to support him!
This gofundme page is linked directly to Isaac's account or you can venmo him at @isaacbancaco
Thank you in advance for your support.

I’m asking for help for a very special family. These people were the first friends I made when I moved to Maui 30 years ago and are like family to me. Svar, Michelle and their 12 year old son escaped the devastation of the Lahaina fire with their pets and their lives, but lost their home, possessions and livelihoods. They are currently camping at a friend’s house in Kula with 9 people, 7 dogs and other animals. This sweet family has spent decades in the Lahaina community and plans to return as soon as they can to help rebuild their beloved neighborhood, but needs immediate help with basic needs. In the aftermath of this tragedy, so many have lost homes, businesses, and lives. Please consider donating to funds like these that go directly to survivors in need. Thank you!

The Calderon family - Tony, Lauren, Stella (10), and Caleb (8) - has been through a lot this year. In February, my uncle Tony was diagnosed with bile duct cancer, a rare and aggressive carcinoma. The financial and emotional stress of my uncle’s diagnosis over the last several months have taken a heavy toll.
On August 9th, 2023, we learned that my uncle, his wife, and their two young kids lost their home and all of their belongings to the Lahaina fire on Maui. Tony and Lauren have worked so hard to build the life they envisioned for themselves and their children, only to have that ripped away because of a broken health care system and natural disaster.
Please join me in helping my family find some relief from medical bills and a way to move forward after losing their home.
100% of funds raised will go directly to Tony and Lauren. Thank you so much for your support! ❤️

Aloha everyone. My name is Breena Ako. I’m raising funds to not only support my family but to help them rebuild their homes as well. The Hamakua’s took my sister Brittney Ako & her family in years ago in a separate house on their property, since we’re such close friends with them. Literally one of the most thoughtful families I have ever met. They put everyone before themselves but now it’s time to help them in their time of need. They all lost everything they worked so hard for in the biggest Lahaina fires anyone has ever seen. All they have are memories now. Please help me, help the one’s I love, to get back on their feet & start rebuilding their homes. Anything you can donate, big or small, goes a VERY long way. Kamuela Hamakua, Pam Hamakua, their kids & granddaughter.. Brittney Ako, Leipua Puloka & their kids need all the help they can get. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything & anything!! ♥️♥️♥️

On August 8th my 'ohana lost three of their homes to the wildfires on Maui. I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of all the family members that have been directly affected. Thankfully we are safe but like many others, my family has lost everything in the tragedy.
Our family has been living in Lahaina for over 50 years and has dedicated their lives to helping the community. Walter is a retired firefighter captain of the Lahaina station, while Diane worked as the Lahainaluna Foundation Director, Holy Innocents Preschool Director, and Occupational Therapist in the community for years.
Jeremy has been a teacher at Lahainaluna for almost 20 years and previously ran the girl's soccer program at the high school, while Gracie has been in the hospitality industry for decades. Jeremy and Gracie have always offered their kokua to the community and their friends without hesitation.
Corey works at the Westin Resorts and put many, many hours into building his Habitat for Humanity home in Kahoma. He has lived there for less than a year before it was destroyed in the fires.
We thank you to all that have reached out and offered your kokua! Anything you can give is greatly appreciated and will go directly to them to help them get back on their feet and give some relief while they figure out the next steps. Please continue to keep my family and the entire Lahaina community in your prayers.
If you would like to donate any items please reach out to anyone in my family.
Mahalo nui loa for your generosity and support!
